Living for today while planning a legacy for tomorrow

High school sweethearts, Cheri and Gene began their journey together in California. Since that time, they have traveled the world over several times, experiencing the beauty of cultural arts and many scenic wonders along the way. Their home is a collection reminiscent of their travels and reflects their joy in what they have accomplished and their happiness together.
A career with a large oil company provided Gene with the opportunity to expand his philosophy of "making a difference." Through the company's corporate match program, Gene was able to support numerous charities and that commitment continues today.
More than 16 years ago, Cheri and Gene retired to Arizona where they became members of the Desert Mountain community. It was then that they discovered HonorHealth. They made the decision to become local benefactors as well as active supporters of the growing healthcare system.
Several years ago, Cheri and Gene made their legacy decision. Both felt the need to expand their support of HonorHealth's world-class patient care even in those times when they would no longer be here. They included HonorHealth in their wills to ensure that their wishes would be met. Gene says, "By offering this gift as a bequest, we are able to see the progress being made at HonorHealth and feel good knowing that we will also be able to play a part in future progress as well."
